How we work with you
We believe in the idea of proving value before we ask for compensation. We also believe in sharing in success. That is why we work on a performance compensation model. We're a venture accelerator, which means we are taking a stake in your future success. We think the most success happens when everyone's goals are perfectly aligned. Here is how we go about it:
1. Opt-In
You 'opt-in' by signing an Accelerator LOI & NDA. The LOI is a non-binding agreement and really just establishes a working relationship.
2. Our Dime
We go out and do some poking around on our dime. It is helpful to review your investor deck so we fully understand your business model (even if it is still fluid).
3. Join the Portfolio!
Once we find traction together, we execute a portfolio agreement. This allows us to represent you as a portfolio company to your potential revenue partners. This is when we roll up our sleeves and get down to business.
4. Performance Compensation Model
We are compensated when we help you achieve success with your API powered partnerships. We measure two success metrics:
a. Strategic Named Partners: these are the initial partnerships that help prime the API pump and drive the biz dev funnel. We receive an initial performance payment when the first partnership is formed.
b. API Revenue: this is where the rubber meets the road! We make a percentage upside on the revenue that the API pipeline generates from partnerships.
